Hi. I'm 
Paul Monaghan, award winning freelance animator specialising in fast turnaround motion graphics solutions.

I have over 10 years’ experience delivering a variety of animated films for content agencies, corporate clients, start-ups and TV production companies.
 
As a one-man creative agency, I pride myself on delivering quality fast. If you need your animated content on your desk yesterday, I’m your man.
 
I appreciate that budgets can be tight but that doesn’t mean you have to scale back on compelling storytelling or stunning visuals. I have the skills and experience to deliver high quality results for you and your clients. I can keep costs down without compromising on quality.

This is animated explainer video explains the bookings.com Partner Scheme to an audience of internal staff. Working as a motion graphics freelancer for a content agency, I constructed the storyboard, illustrative elements and full animation from a supplied script, while taking care to keep all visual elements on-brand. Quadient Franking Machines

I made this film as part of a creative campaign for Quadient Franking Machines. This client had never produced any video content before, so I was given a completely blank canvas. I provided concepts for visual style, then produced a story board from the selected route. From there I made the final animated film. Astra Zeneca

I have been working with Astra Zeneca for about 6 years as a freelance motion graphics designer with various partner agencies. I have made many animated films for both internal and external comms, as well as product launches and events. Fexco

In partnership with a content agency, I made this film to promote Fexco Currency Conversion Solutions. It forms part of a creative campaign which involves mixing motion graphics and animation with library footage. Please click here to see more examples of creative campaigns.

3 Ireland

This film for 3 Ireland explains and promotes their Connected service to business customers. It involves a mixture of motion graphics elements and stock footage, edited in a lively way to fit a provided script. This was one of three films that made up this creative campaign. Assurance Company

I have made a number of animated infographic films for an assurance company. The challenge being finding a visually engaging way to explain complex financial data, while keeping within strict corporate style guidelines. I provided storyboards, illustrated all visual elements and delivered the motion graphics solution. Please click here to see further examples of infographics.

KPMG

Working as a freelance consultant with a content agency representing global assurance company KPMG, I produced illustrative concepts for their branding. Following on from this, I made a number of explainer videos and motion graphics content for social media and internal comms.

BBC Bitesize

I was asked to design, illustrate and animate ten 30 second revision aid animations to help GCSE students with French grammar. We used 60's European espionage to give the graphics a theme.

EY

In partnership with a writer / director, I made a short motion graphics film for global assurance firm EY, to explain the history of money. The structure of the film involved following a timeline, showing milestones in the development of today's financial operations, from bartering livestock to contactless payments. Plymouth Marine Laboratories

I was asked by this non-profit environmental protection organisation to come up with an illustrative style to complement their new branding, to be rolled out across corporate presentations and infographics.

Les Rosbifs

I worked directly with the owner of this restaurant to provide a brand. I supplied multiple concepts before arriving at this elegant but informal solution. Prickly Pair

Laugh Out Loud

I made a large number of funny broadcast graphics opening title animations for Channel 5 clips show Laugh Out Loud. From provided categories, including Cats, Puppies, Daredevils, Weddings, I came up with ideas for things that could go wrong, only using on-brand typography and comic characters. Pearson Language Tests

I produced a large variety of marketing collateral items for Pearson Language Tests, including advertising, brochures, posters and info-graphics.

Volkswagen

I have designed a number of animated films for the Volkswagen in-showroom TV channel, providing details about the range of offers available. The messages are often complex, and the challenge is to convey the information in a visually interesting and easily understandable way.
